Sayings of Ahlelbayt

Shiites often say that Sunnis don’t care about ahlelbayt, while they claim to be the followers of ahlelbayt. Of course Sunnis haven’t left ahlelbayt, but does this mean that we accept their concocted stories which they have attributed to ahlelbayt? There are a large number of narrations of ahlelbayt in the Sunni books. We will post the sayings of ahlelbayt as present in the Sunni books. We will keep updating this post with the passage of time, and the updates would be posted in the section ‘Sayings of Ahlelbayt’ present in the side bar also.

It has been narrated from Abu Wail that it was said to Ali (رضي الله عنه) : Why don’t you appoint any successor upon us? He said : If the Prophet  (صلى الله عليه وسلم) had appointed a successor than I would also have appointed a successor. If Allah wills, he will unite you people after me on the best person, as He united the people on the best person after the Prophet (peace be upon him).
